First off, for those tryung to destroy this movie with hateful opinions Didn't think so!!! Can you do it better??? If you could Lets see your films and your acting These people worked hard on this and its a hard industry. Bravo for making it this far to ALL involved in this Lady lawman wanted. These little Keep making films!!!
Rarely does an actor make me root for the bad guy. Especially when I already like the protagonist of the story. This film had both! I found myself torn with how I wanted it to end, but definitely impressed either way. Andrews had me on the edge of my seat. I was waiting ever scene to see him again. He was a fun character to watch. Miller's soft yet stern demeanor and commitment carried the storyline and filled in the scenes that needed drama and action, perfectly.
The actress did a great job portraying a strong woman of the West in a West full of stereotypes. Buck really made the back story with Andrews work well with his acting. I could tell he really wanted him and that also helped to fill in parts of the story not seen. Martinez was a perfect blend into the trio of other stars. He helped to make the outlaw turned good make a lot of since and pulled the relationships with Andrews and Buck tighter together.
My favorite scene with him is the scene he first meets Miller. His disappointment yet acceptance is summed up in that he gives her. From top to bottom the actors were great in this film and the company did a great job capturing the "ol west". My only complaint would be this film couldn't be longer. Helpful Report abuse. Sammie Reviewed in the United States on May 28, I really really wanted to like this but by the 20 min. Unfortunately, this film never got much better. Sorry, but I just couldn't stomach the writing, dialog, costumes, amateurish performances by the actors, etc.
It's like someone gave a camera to a local theater group and told them to go out and make a western. I guess I'm too picky but when I "watch" a period movie, and I do mean "watch," authenticity is expected. For example, during an early scene a meal was being served. Historically, at that time, cast iron cookware was the norm Don't get me started on the costuming.
Women of a certain age did not wear their hair down, especially married or widowed women. Dress lengths were never above the ankle for the average female rancher. The des and colors worn by most of the actors simply showed complete cluelessness by the wardrobe manager of period authentic.
Anyone who ever used a western saddle will also groan. I think they must have bought the saddles that morning because they were so shiny and new Overall, really sad that the movie was so bad. I was looking forward to a western with a strong female character not the cardboard caricature it tried to pass as the heroine.
Put all these "fails" together and this movie just fell flat, at least for me. Anonymous Reviewed in the United States on May 8, To Ryan: Lady lawman wanted wanna be just like you when I grow up. To Ernest: You're like that cool drunk uncle I never had. You know those who probably give you bad advice but have a good heart and are willing to save you from bad people. To Carlos: You know you are a good actor when you can act like a villian and make me not like you. You're probably cool in real life though.
To Jake: It is always good to see that one person to encourage someone to do better even when the others doubt them. The story line was amazing and it was great to see her go out of the standard norms of their time to achieve what to others seemed impossible.
My favorite of all was the horse Lady lawman wanted Francis has, great supporting actor! Lizzyanne61 Reviewed in the United States on May 2, Can't believe it's low budget! Great pace, perfect mix of drama and comedy. The story based on true story keeps you engaged start to finish. Strong women throughout! Don't watch if you're in it for Saloon girls. Jean's ponies Reviewed in the United States on June 4, This movie wasn't even as described- it was not only totally slow, violent, and had no true character to it! She served no purpose at all and the movie was totally boring; it had no plot.
I'd love to get a refund but I doubt that'll happen. But, it had a pretty good plot line. A story about a pretty smart lady. Thanks for asking! This movie is awful bad acting very low budget. The plot is decent enough, not bad really. But not worth the cost to rent. Should be no cost at all to view this one. Back to top. Get to Know Us. Make Money with Us. Amazon Payment Products.
